COL Brian Novoselich is the director of strategic plans and assessment (G5) at the United States Military Academy (USMA) in West Point, New York.

He was commissioned as an armor officer from USMA in 1996. He has served in a variety of armor units with leadership responsibilities up to the brigade executive officer level.

COL Novoselich has served in the department from 2006 to 2009 and again from 2016 to the present, and has taught and directed courses in the design, thermal-fluids, dynamics, and automotive threads. He served as the director of the Center for Innovation and Engineering, now the Center for Applied Engineering, from 2017 to 2019.

He is also the thread director for the Automotive and Weapons Thread.
