LTC Justin Toole is an assistant professor in the Department of Chemical & Biological Science & Engineering at the United States Military Academy.
He commissioned as a distinguished military graduate through Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps at the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, Georgia. As a junior engineer officer, he served as a platoon leader, company executive officer, and company commander in mechanized, route clearance, and training units at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. During that time, he deployed to Baghdad, Iraq, as a route clearance platoon leader.
As a field grade officer, LTC Toole served as deputy division engineer and battalion S-3/executive officer within the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan, as a combined task force executive officer.
He later served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a deputy district commander in Nashville, Tennessee.
