MAJ Samuel Lowell

MAJ Sam Lowell is a senior instructor and the operations officer in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, where he teaches General Chemistry (CH101) and Advanced General Chemistry (CH151). He is a 2014 graduate of the United States Military Academy with a B.S. in chemical engineering and holds an M.S. in mechanical engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School.
Commissioned as an aviation officer, MAJ Lowell is a UH-60M Black Hawk pilot. His operational assignments with the 5-101st Aviation Regiment included platoon leader, liaison officer, and assistant operations officer, and included a deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel. Prior to his arrival at West Point, he commanded C Company, 2-210th Aviation at Fort Eustis, Virginia.
