MAJ Sam Lowell is a senior instructor and the operations officer in the Department of Chemical & Biological Science & Engineering at the United States Military Academy (USMA). He teaches General Chemistry and Advanced General Chemistry.
He is a 2014 USMA graduate with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and holds a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School.
Commissioned as an aviation officer, MAJ Lowell is a UH-60M Black Hawk pilot. His operational assignments with the 5-101st Aviation Regiment included platoon leader, liaison officer, and assistant operations officer, and included a deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel.
Prior to his arrival at USMA, he commanded C Company, 2-210th Aviation at Fort Eustis, Virginia.
