Dr. Susan Richardson is a Professor of Economics and the vice dean for Academic Affairs at the United States Military Academy. As vice dean, she oversees curriculum, faculty development, and assessment.
Her academic research is in applied microeconomics, and she has published papers on labor economics, household finance, and the economics of education. She publishes under the name Susan P. Carter.
Richardson previously served as a research analyst in the Office of Economic and Manpower Analysis, where she performed data and economic analysis for the Army on issues related to force composition, labor shortages, retention, and post-service employment.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree in mathematical economics from Wake Forest University and her doctorate in economics from Vanderbilt University.
