MAJ Gabrielle Sleeman is a British Army Legal Services officer on an exchange posting as an assistant law professor at the United States Military Academy (USMA). She teaches international law.

Graduating from the University of Sheffield with a Bachelor of Law degree, she completed her post-graduate study at the Inns of Court School of Law City University, and BPP University. MAJ Sleeman was "Called to the Bar" at Gray's Inn in 2007 and admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2011. She was commissioned from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 2012 as a captain in the Army Legal Services.

Immediately following commissioning, MAJ Sleeman was deployed on the UN mission in Cyprus to assist with maintaining the Buffer Zone between the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Cyprus.

In October 2016, MAJ Sleeman was appointed to deliver operational law training as part of a multinational short-term training force, teaching the Law of Armed Conflict to legal advisers within the Ugandan Peoples' Defence Force (UPDF) in Uganda and Gurkha soldiers based in Brunei.

Following promotion, MAJ Sleeman was the only legal adviser to the 77th Brigade, a UK specialist unit delivering Information Activities and Human Security Subject Matter Experts supporting over 20 ongoing operational activities across the breadth of Army and Joint activity.

In addition to teaching commitments at USMA, Maj Sleeman is completing her academic studies - a research Master's from the University of Reading exploring the challenges of complying with legal obligations during an international armed conflict within a congested civilian digital environment and how an increasingly digitally enhanced military may effectively and lawfully operate in such a battlespace.
