Dr. Jon Healy oversees the Athletic Academic Support program in the Center for Enhanced Performance. His program is made up of an incredible staff of academic counselors who provide individual and group advising for cadet-athletes that compete at the NCAA level. Their work centers on strategies for improving essay organization, strengthening overall academic skills, time management, and test preparation. Healy came to West Point in 2014 from the University of Maryland where he held a similar role after spending three years at the Bratzke Center for Academic Success at Eastern Kentucky University. He is a member of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics and has been a featured presenter at its national convention. Healy earned his doctorate in education from Eastern Kentucky, master's degrees from Georgetown University and Eastern Kentucky and his bachelor's from the University of Kentucky. He is originally from Fairfax, Va., and now resides in Cornwall on Hudson, N.Y., with his wife Julie and their daughter Bettie.
