CPT Joseph Vandenhouten is an Instructor of Economics at the United States Military Academy. Joe commissioned as a Logistics Officer through the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay ROTC program in 2015. He served as a Platoon Leader and Company Executive Officer in the 5th Squadron, 4th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, where he deployed to Jordan in support of Operation Spartan Shield. He then served as a Battalion Logistics Officer in the 299th Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division where he deployed to Poland in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve. He most recently served in the 548th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 10th Sustainment Brigade, 10th Mountain Division where he worked as the Transportation Officer and then took Command of the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 548th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion.

CPT Vandenhouten holds a B.S. in Economics with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
