Major Frey is the Assistant Director of the Center for Molecular Science and Instructor of Chemical Engineering within the Department of Chemistry and Life Sciences, and teaches courses in general chemistry. He previously served as the Deputy Director of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s Nuclear Science & Engineering Research Center in the Department of Physics & Nuclear Engineering, where he advised independent research supporting the nuclear enterprise and coordinated Advanced Individual Academic Development experiences for cadet and midshipmen from the DoD Service Academies and Service ROTC programs. He is Secretary of the Mid-Hudson Local Section of the American Chemical Society, and is a member of the Scholarship and Award Selection Committees of the American Nuclear Society and the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society.
