LTC Karoline Hood leads the Advanced Math Program, including MA153 and MA255.
LTC Hood has held several leadership positions, including serving as a platoon leader deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and as a company commander deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. She also served in the Seattle District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where she supported a Federal Emergency Management Agency mission in response to the 2014 Oso landslide as an on-ground engineer assisting search and rescue efforts.
In addition, she served as a project engineer at Johnson Space Center in the astronaut office and in the vehicle integration testing office. She is a licensed professional engineer in Missouri, a Project Management Professional and holds a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification in new construction. LTC Hood also holds a private pilot license for fixed-wing single-engine aircraft.
