Major Katherine Brennan is a native of Miami, FL. She commissioned as a Military Intelligence officer from Florida State University’s Reserve Officer Training Corps in 2014. From 2014-2017, Katherine was assigned to 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Katherine first served as an Assistant S2 for 1st Squadron, 32nd Cavalry Regiment and then as an Information Collection Platoon Leader in the Military Intelligence Company (MICO), 326 Engineer Battalion. Katherine later deployed to Africa as a Task Force S2 for 1st Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment in support of United States Army Africa Base Operations and Security Integration. From 2018-2021, Katherine was assigned to 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Katherine served as the S2 for 1st Battalion, 505th Infantry Regiment, and later as the Combined Task Force S2 for the Kandahar Airfield Ground Defense Area in support of Operation Freedom Sentinel. Following her deployment, Katherine served as a Company Commander for the MICO, 307th Engineer Battalion. After company command, Katherine attended Harvard Business School and received her Master’s in Business Administration. Katherine married her husband, Chancey Tillery, in 2022 and together they have two dogs, Kona and Kahlua.
