Mrs. Kim Lee

Kim is the Administrative Officer/Executive Officer. She joined the Department in 2004 as the Office Automation Assistant and was promoted to her current position in 2010. Mrs. Lee's responsibilities include supporting the Head, Deputy Head and Program Directors of the Department of Physics and Nuclear Engineering in getting things done through her knowledge of and skills in dealing with external organizations, procedures, funds, people, and other resources. She plans, directs and coordinates personnel functions of the staff and faculty of the Department of Physics and Nuclear Engineering. Kim manages the operating budget to include appropriate and non-appropriated funds. She directs, plans and organizes Department-level operations for the Head of Department to include the department agenda, duty rosters, physical security, information security, and safety programs. Kim is also responsible for the direction and management of two permanently assigned civilian employees. Kim has been a volunteer firefighter with two fire departments, Highland Falls and Cornwall, since 1991, in which she held the office of President of the HFFD. She is currently a Vice President for the Orange County Volunteer Firemen’s Association.  Kim is a member of the West Point-Highland Falls Rotary Club, joining in June 2015, held the office of President for one year, and is currently a member of the Board of Directors. Kim married her husband, Mickey in 1993 and has two sons, Billy and Justin (wife Samantha) and bonus daughter, Rachel. Her pride and joy are her beautiful grandchildren, Evelyn, Ava, Jacob, and Carson, and golden retrievers, Remi and Jet.
