Following the Maneuver Captains Career Course in November 2018, MAJ Hunter Meyers joined Task Force Sinai in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, where he served as the assistant CJ-35 as a member of the Multinational Force and Observers. After returning from Egypt in 2020, MAJ Meyers was assigned to the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, where he served in the Bastogne S-3 section as a plans officer. He later commanded C Company, 1-327th Infantry Regiment, from January 2021 to June 2022.

MAJ Meyers’ awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal with three oak leaf clusters, the Army Achievement Medal with one oak leaf cluster, the Expert Infantryman’s Badge, the Ranger Tab, the Army Parachutist Badge, and the Air Assault Badge.

Hunter earned a Bachelor of Science degree in American politics (honors) and foreign area studies with a concentration in Europe, as well as a Master of Science degree in industrial-organizational psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Hunter married CPT Dana Meyers in December 2021. They currently live at West Point, New York, with their miniature schnauzer, Ozzie.
