
Captain Maris Moreno graduated from the United States Military Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. As a Military Intelligence Officer, she has served in a variety of roles like Multi-Function Platoon Leader, targeting team member, Battalion S2, and Company Commander in various units across Fort Richardson, AK, Fort Huachuca, AZ, and Fort Liberty, NC. She is a graduate of Airborne School, Air Assault Schol, and the Army Space Basic Cadre Course. Her deployments include supporting Operation Freedom Sentinel, Operation Inherent Resolve, and Operation Allies Refuge.
CPT Moreno obtained her Master of Education in Learning, Teaching, & Educational Transformation at University of Massachusetts Boston in 2019 with a curriculum focused on mental health counseling. CPT Moreno is currently a PL100 (Psychology for Leaders) Instructor in the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Leadership at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
CPT Moreno is originally from Naples, FL. She has a six-year-old dog, Maggie who accompanies her on many travels and hikes. A certified yoga instructor, CPT Moreno incorporates strength, balance, and mindfulness into her environment. Her more recent hobbies include yard work and home renovation updates.
