MAJ Michael Prokos is the Assistant Dean for Resources and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences. Michael earned his M.S. in Operations Research from George Mason University in 2018 and holds a M.Ed. in Education and B.S. in Mathematics Education from the University of New Hampshire. He served in a variety of tactical and operational assignments as an active-duty Logistics Officer, most recently serving as the Deputy Material Management Chief in the 19th Expeditionary Sustainment Command in Daegu, South Korea. Michael’s research interests focus on the processes of concept acquisition, the impact of varied teaching methods, and the effectiveness of technology in the classroom to improve student motivation.
