Mitxel Totorica, a Boise, Idaho native, graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2015 with a degree in mechanical engineering. Commissioned as an Aviation Officer, he obtained his CH-47 aircraft rating in 2017.
CPT Totorica served as a Platoon Leader in B Company, 3-82 GSAB, at Fort Liberty, NC. He led his platoon through diverse missions in North Carolina and two rotations at the Joint Readiness Training Center, planning and executing missions while training and mentoring Soldiers. In 2019, he attended the Marine Corps Expeditionary Warfare School (EWS) at Quantico, VA. After completing EWS in 2020, he served as an assistant operations officer in 3-25 AVN REGT, Wheeler AAF, HI, responsible for planning aviation operations supporting the 25th Infantry Division. In 2021, CPT Totorica took command of B Company, 3-25 AVN REGT. As Hillclimber 6, he led a company of 70 Soldiers supporting the 25th Infantry Division and Joint Partners in Hawaii. He oversaw company readiness, mission planning, execution, and aircraft maintenance.
After command, Mitx earned a master's in kinesiology from Texas A&M and now teaches Aquatics, Unit Fitness, Alpine Skiing, and Badminton / Pickleball. He is married to Chelsea Totorica and they have two children, Ada and Ivy.
