Board of Visitors to Hold Virtual Meeting By West Point Public Affairs - July 17, 2020 RELEASE NO: 09-20 WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Board of Visitors of the U.S. Military Academy will hold a virtual meeting using Microsoft Office 365 Teams Wednesday, July 29, starting at 10 a.m. The board will review and receive updates on the academic, physical, and military programs. The Board of Visitors is appointed under the provision of Section 7455 of Title 10 and the Federal Advisory Committee Act of 1972. It is the duty of the board to inquire about the academy’s morale and discipline, curriculum, instruction, physical equipment, fiscal affairs, and academic methods. The board consists of presidential appointees and members of Congress. Presidential appointees are Vice Chair Secretary R. James Nicholson, H.R. McMaster, John M. “Jack” Keane, Meaghan C. Mobbs, David J. Urban, Guy C. Swann III. The Senators are, Tammy Duckworth, Richard Burr, Joe Manchin, and Jerry Moran. Representatives include Chair Steve Womack, Mike Conaway, Anthony Brindisi, Stephanie Murphy, and Warren Davidson.
