As the Field Artillery Branch Representative, Major Noah Tartal and the Accessions Division continually educates and informs the USMA staff/faculty/Cadets on Army branches and the branching process and leads the transition process from Cadet to Lieutenant. As a Military 300 (MS300) Instructor, Major Tartal aims to further inculcate critical leader attributes and expand upon Military knowledge developed during previous summer training opportunities and MS course work. MS300 is a semester long, 40-hour course for Second Class cadets, the culminating MS course during a cadet’s 47-month experience at USMA. MS300 will enhance each cadet’s tactical planning and decision-making skills by testing their decisiveness in scenarios with limited information under condensed time constraints to prepare future officers for the challenges of leading American Soldiers in a complex operational environment.
