Professor Robert Lawless is an associate professor in the Department of Law and Philosophy at the United States Military Academy (USMA). He teaches the academy's public international law course. He also serves as research director of the Lieber Institute for Law and Warfare, managing editor of the Lieber Studies book series published by Oxford University Press, and editor for Articles of War.
Before joining the USMA faculty, Professor Lawless was a U.S. Army JAG Corps officer.
