CPT(P) Ryan Rubega

CPT(P) Ryan Rubega is an economics instructor in the Department of Social Sciences at the United States Military Academy (USMA).

He commissioned as an infantry officer from the University of Connecticut in 2015 and served as a mechanized infantry platoon leader and company executive officer in the 1st Armored Division at Fort Bliss, Texas, deploying to Kuwait in 2017 in support of Operation Inherent Resolve and Operation Spartan Shield. CPT Rubega later served as a rifle company commander and headquarters company commander in the 3rd Brigade (Rakkasans), 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, from 2021 to 2023.

Upon selection to teach at USMA, CPT Rubega moved to New York to complete his Master of Business Administration at Columbia Business School. He is passionate about personal finance, has completed nonprofit work with the Life Skills for Soldiers personal finance program and is a candidate for Certified Financial Planner certification. 

He is married to Darby Rubega, and their daughter, Charli, greets every dog she meets on post.
