Mr. Tim Goetz is the Course Director of Military Movement at the United States Military Academy and has served in the Department of Physical Education since 2008. Prior to becoming a faculty member at West Point, Goetz graduated from Springfield College in 2004 earning his undergraduate degree in Psychology. He enjoyed a distinguished athletic career as a member of the Men’s Gymnastics Team. He later returned to Springfield College and earned his Master’s degree in athletic counseling. During that time, he served as an assistant coach for the Women’s Gymnastics Team as was named co-assistant coach of the year 2005-2006. After graduation, he went on to coach gymnastics at Airborne Gymnastics in Santa Clara, CA. Mr. Goetz has been coaching gymnastics since he was 12 years old. He was a former camper, counselor, and coach at International Gymnastics Camp located in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. He met his wife Emily while coaching there; they have two children and enjoy watching them grow and play sports.
