GO ARMY!
To the parents, families, and friends of the Corps of Cadets:
First, let me convey a job well done to the Class of 2028. Cadet Basic Training is meant to challenge New cadets to achieve beyond what they thought they could. From Reception Day through their march back, the Class of 2028 has shown their grit, resilience, and dedication to teamwork. Although this first summer of training has come to an end, the class will need your continued support navigating yet another significant transition as the academic year begins. Please, reinforce to your cadet that their team leader, cadet chain of command, and Tactical Officer Team is here to both help and empower them as they adapt to this change. No Calling Too Great!
For the Class of 2027, Cadet Field Training was the hallmark event for their summer. During Cadet Field Training cadets trained on both individual and collective military tasks and drills and had valuable exposure to the various Army branches. For your cadets, their transition to this academic year will signal the first semester for which they are no longer solely responsible for themselves but are charged with the care and welfare of their assigned fourth- class cadet. Your cadets will be role models for the Class of 2028, demonstrating that being at the right place, at right time, and in right uniform ready to work hard are the foundations for a solid start.
Finally, the Classes of 2026 and 2025 led this year's Cadet Summer Training (both Cadet Basic Training and Field Training). They experienced the cadet details anew, this time seeing the training through the leadership perspective. No longer trainees, but trainers, they did a tremendous job inspiring their units to achieve excellence. Depending on their requirements, these cadets likely also had the chance to conduct small unit training at Cadet Leader Development Training, partake in one of the many individual advanced developmental opportunities the academy has to offer, or experience Cadet Troop Leader Training with the operational force. We look forward to seeing the continued leadership from these classes and watching them finish strong their final years here at the academy.
Whether your cadet is new to the Corps or will be tossing their hat in the air at graduation next year, we encourage ALL cadets to engage early and often with their respective chains of command and Tactical Officer Teams. Communication is paramount and our dedicated team is committed to ensuring their continued success and well-being. Congratulations to all the classes on an incredible summer of growth and development as leaders of character.
Duty, Honor, Country!
