Directorate of Cadet Activities
Clubs are paid for with nonappropriated funds (NAFs) from donors and the Directorate of Cadet Activities (DCA) auxiliary service. Clubs are not sponsored unless USMA can provide an ongoing level of support for their activities.
Departments
West Point Academic Departments support many of the academy's extracurricular activities, sponsoring them directly or providing support in the form of mentoring.
USMA Programs
Extracurricular activities at West Point are part of the 47-month developmental experience that turns cadets into leader of character - helping them develop academically, militarily, and physically.
