Current Research

Colonel Nguyen leads a research group that focuses on the synthesis and characterization of tunable composite and functionalized materials with novel properties that can be leveraged for applications that support Department of Defense and Department of the Army science and technology priorities. Ongoing research efforts include synthesis and characterization of organometallic compounds for applications in nonlinear optics, functionalized metal organic framework for the degradation of toxic chemicals, anode material for use in fast charging batteries, and investigating the properties of polymeric materials for sustainability applications.
