CPT David Glinbizzi is a philosophy instructor at the United States Military Academy (USMA). He also serves as a department academic counselor and honor representative for the Department of Law and Philosophy and the Officer in Charge of the West Point Speech and Parliamentary Debate Team.

His military career began in 2011 as an enlisted infantryman. In 2015, he commissioned as an Artillery Officer and was assigned to the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, NY. He served in multiple company-level leadership positions, including fire support officer, platoon leader, and battery executive officer. In 2019, he transitioned to the adjutant general corps and served as a squadron personnel officer in the 3d Cavalry Regiment at Fort Cavazos, TX.

In 2021, CPT Glinbizzi became a graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania, where he also served as a teaching assistant in its philosophy department. He worked at the Center for Ethics and the Rule of Law, researching domestic violent extremism. In 2022, he became a graduate associate at Perry World House, studying the ethical implications of new technology and techniques employed in the Russo-Ukrainian conflict. In 2024, CPT Glinbizzi led an Academic Individual Advanced Development (AIAD) internship focusing on the ethics of emerging technology and responsible artificial intelligence. This incorporated the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Policy (OUSD-P), the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), and the Army's Artificial Intelligence Integration Center (AI2C) into one cohesive experience for the cadets. 

This continues to inform his ongoing research in just war theory, artificial intelligence ethics, and broader topics in political philosophy. Courses Taught: PHIL 1433 (TA): The Social Contract PY201: Philosophy and Ethical Reasoning PY189X (Course XO): Independent Study in Philosophy (AI Ethics)
