MAJ Aaron M. Thomas, Ph.D.

MAJ Aaron M. Thomas is an assistant professor in the Department of Chemical & Biological Science & Engineering (CBSE) at the United States Military Academy.

He commissioned into the Army Medical Department's Medical Service Corps as a biochemist immediately following graduate school. Previous assignments include Commander, Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, Medical Readiness Command, Europe, and Chief, Core Laboratory, Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. He has also served as an accreditation inspector on behalf of the College of American Pathologists for clinical and research laboratories in Germany, Ireland, Saudi Arabia, and Switzerland.

MAJ Thomas earned his PhD in Chemistry at the University of Hawaii where he explored gas-phase reaction dynamics of small molecular systems. His findings have appeared in thirty peer-reviewed publications addressing emerging topics in combustion and space chemistry. He teaches courses in General and Physical Chemistry.
