SGM(P) Alexander Betzer

Sergeant Major Betzer was born in Muskegon, Michigan, and enlisted in the Army in March 2010. He has been married to his wife, Leslie, for 14 years and has three children, Chloe, Jamesen and Sydney.

Betzer has served in multiple leadership positions from team leader to company first sergeant. His assignments include the 25th Infantry Division, Fort Wainwright, Alaska; the 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina; and Special Operations Training Detachment, Fort Polk, Louisiana. SGM Betzer currently serves as the Brigade Tactical Department sergeant major.

SGM Betzer’s civilian and military education includes a bachelor of science in computer information systems, Practitioner Certification in Cybersecurity, Small Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Raven Operator, all levels of NCOES, Basic Airborne Course, Unit Movement Officer, Jumpmaster Course, Master Jumpmaster Course, Total Army Retention, Ranger Course and the OCT Course.
