CPT(P) Amanda Fredrickson

CPT Amanda (Harrison) Fredrickson is an economics instructor in the Department of Social Sciences at the United States Military Academy. Commissioned as an engineer officer from USMA in 2015, she deployed to Iraq in 2016 with the 39th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team “Strike” of the 101st Airborne Division to support the Iraqi army’s recapture of Mosul.
Her following assignments at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, include serving as a sapper platoon leader and battalion S-4 in 39th BEB. Her next assignment was to the 4th Infantry Division, serving as a company commander in the 4th Engineer Battalion and as a battalion S-3 in the 68th Division Sustainment Support Battalion.
CPT Fredrickson received her Master of Public Policy with a concentration in data analytics from the University of Chicago. Her research interests concern the recruiting and economic implications of military family policy, as well as military health care and incentive structures.
She is married to CPT Kyle Fredrickson. They have one daughter, Lyra, and two golden retrievers.
