LTC Andrew J. Bodwell, O.D., FAAO

LTC Andrew Bodwell is an instructor in the Department of Chemical & Biological Science & Engineering at the United States Military Academy. He currently teaches CH275, Introduction to Biology course.
After completing his Doctor of Optometry, he commissioned as an active-duty captain in the Medical Service Corps. His career included a residency in vision rehabilitation from the State University of New York College of Optometry, two detachment commands with one deployment to Kuwait and Jordan, a short stint as a battalion executive officer, and multiple years of clinical experience in Army optometry clinics.
Most recently, he served as the chief of the Department of Specialty Care at Keller Army Community Hospital. In addition to full-time teaching, LTC Bodwell continues to intermittently see patients and provide eye care to the West Point community.
