CPT Andrew J. Leib IV

CPT Andrew J. Leib IV is an instructor in History and War Studies at the United States Military Academy.

CPT Leib is a distinguished military graduate of the Virginia Military Institute (VMI), where he commissioned as a U.S. Army intelligence officer. During his career, CPT Leib served as an assistant battalion S-2, platoon leader, company executive officer and battalion S-2 at locations in South Korea, Fort Stewart, Fort Jackson and Fort Polk. His past unit assignments include 2-7 IN and 10 EN in 1st Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, 3-39 IN in 165th Infantry Brigade, and 2-4 IN in 3rd Brigade, 10th Mountain Division.

CPT Leib holds a bachelor’s degree from VMI and a master’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, and continues work on his Ph.D. dissertation regarding U.S. Army large unit operations in the First World War. His expertise centers on the study of warfare in American history.
