Wallen, Ph.D. Associate Professor Associate Dean for Faculty Development Dean's Staff Center for Faculty Excellence Geography & Earth Sciences benjamin.wallen [at] westpoint.edu About Education COL Benjamin Wallen is the associate dean for faculty development at the United States Military Academy (USMA), serves on the dean's staff, and is involved with the Center for Faculty Excellence. He is also an associate professor in the Department of Geography & Earth Sciences.COL Wallen is an Army brat and spent 10 years in Europe before entering West Point in 1992. He graduated from Frankfurt American High School in Germany, where he ran cross country and track, as well as managing the Army women's basketball manager. Just ask him! He enjoys playing ultimate Frisbee, running, supporting cadets and faculty in their development, and maximizing time with his family. COL Wallen has three fantastic children and an amazing wife who is a clinical nurse instructor.
