CPT Blake Basmajian

CPT Blake Basmajian is an economics instructor in the Department of Social Sciences at the United States Military Academy (USMA) in West Point, New York.

He was commissioned as an aviation officer upon graduating from the College of the Holy Cross in 2018. He served as a heavy lift platoon leader with 3-2 Aviation Regiment in the Republic of Korea, followed by an assignment where he served as battalion S-4 for 1-145 Aviation Regiment in Soto Cano Airbase, Honduras. He then completed the CH-47 Maintenance Test Pilot Course before returning to 1-145 Aviation Regiment as a maintenance company commander. Following that command, he served as an aviation proponent officer for the Organization and Personnel Force Development Directorate in Fort Rucker, Alabama.

Upon selection to teach at USMA, Basmajian moved to Massachusetts to complete his master’s degree in business administration at MIT Sloan School of Management. He is passionate about behavioral economics and baseball analytics.
