MAJ Bobby Berchild is an instructor of military science in the Department of Military Instruction at the United States Military Academy.
He is from Superior, Wisconsin, and commissioned as a military police officer in May 2013 via the University of Minnesota's ROTC program. His first assignment was as an operations officer with the 25th Movement Control Battalion in Daegu, Korea. In 2015, he relocated to Kaiserslautern, Germany, where he first served as a platoon leader within the 92nd Military Police Company.
Following this position, he served as an operations officer with the 5th Military Police Battalion (CID) before becoming the protection officer in charge for the 21st Theater Sustainment Command in support of USAREUR security operations. Following the Captain's Career Course, he commanded the 6th Military Police Detachment, 1-13th Aviation Regiment, 1st Aviation Brigade at Fort Novosel, Alabama.
MAJ Berchild is married to Emily Berchild from Cornwall, New York. They live in Cornwall with their two sons, Beau (8) and Oliver (4).
