LTC Brian Holloway is an academy professor in the Department of Physics & Nuclear Engineering at the United States Military Academy. He is also the director of the Photonics Research Center at USMA and a principal investigator with the atomic, molecular and optical research group.
He graduated from Morgan State University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in physics. LTC Holloway earned a Master of Science in applied physics from the Naval Postgraduate School in 2010 and a Doctor of Philosophy in nuclear engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology in 2022.
His dissertation research involved identifying and characterizing point defects in nonlinear optical crystals using electron paramagnetic spectroscopy.
