Dr. Carl Lundell is the laboratory program director for the Department of Chemical & Biological Science & Engineering at the U.S. Military Academy, where he oversees departmental instrumentation and manages the department’s financial resources.

He retired from the U.S. Army after 24 years of service, during which he held a variety of leadership and staff positions across both the conventional force and the Joint Special Operations community. His military career included deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Africa.

Dr. Lundell earned his master’s and doctoral degrees in chemistry from Temple University. After leaving the Army, he served as a delivery weapons expert for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency before returning to West Point to assume his current position.
