COL Chi Nguyen is an academy professor in the Department of Chemical & Biological Science & Engineering at the United States Military Academy (USMA). She has experience as a program director for an American Chemical Society-approved chemistry program and course director for General Chemistry II, Inorganic Chemistry, and Polymer Chemistry.
She graduated from Santa Clara University with a bachelor's degree in chemistry and was commissioned as a military intelligence officer in the U.S. Army in 1997. She subsequently earned a master's degree in management from the University of Maryland in 2003, and master's degree in doctorate in chemistry from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 2005 and 2016, respectively.
COL Nguyen is actively involved in advising cadets as a department academic counselor, mentoring cadets as a research advisor, and facilitating cadet summer enrichment opportunities through the Advanced Individual Academic Development programs.
