MAJ Chrisopher Johnson

MAJ Christopher Johnson is an assistant operations officer and an instructor in the Department of Physical Education at the United States Military Academy (USMA) in West Point, New York.

Hailing from Chester, New Jersey, he graduated with the USMA Class of 2013 and commissioned as an infantry officer. Following completion of the Infantry Basic Officer Leader Course and Ranger School at Fort Benning, MAJ Johnson was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He served as a rifle platoon leader and air operations officer, supporting multiple Global Response Force and Joint Readiness Training Center rotations and earning his master jumpmaster and senior parachutist qualifications.

After completing the Maneuver Captains Career Course, he was assigned to the 4th Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, where he earned his Expert Infantryman Badge and served as a Stryker rifle company commander. 

Following company command, he served as the deputy director of the Stryker Warfighter Forum and earned a master's degree in kinesiology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
