Law & Philosophy
Dr. Coleen Watson is a visiting assistant professor of philosophy in the Department of Law & Philosophy at the United States Military Academy (USMA). She is also the officer in charge for the West Point ethics debate team (Go Army Ethics!)
Her research interests are in ethics and political philosophy, focusing on liberal democratic theory, citizenship, applied ethics, and social epistemology. Since joining the USMA faculty in 2024, she has also developed an interest in just war theory and military ethics into these other concentrations.
On top of her teaching and research, Dr. Watson has engaged in public-facing philosophical work with Texas State University’s Philosophy Dialogue Series and the Binghamton University Critical Thinking Lab.
