MAJ Dairen Jean

MAJ Dairen Jean is a general chemistry instructor in the Department of Chemical & Biological Science & Engineering at the United States Military Academy (USMA).

He commissioned as a chemical officer after earning a bachelor's degree in chemistry from USMA in 2014. He served as the brigade chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear officer, brigade chief of operations, and commander for Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, with operational deployments to Afghanistan.

Following company command, he completed a master's degree in chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His thesis focused on astrochemistry, particularly the rotational spectra of small organic molecules.
