MAJ Dairen Jean

MAJ Dairen Jean is an instructor of general chemistry in the Department of Chemical & Biological Science & Engineering at the United States Military Academy (USMA) in West Point, New York.

He commissioned as a chemical officer after earning a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from USMA in 2014. He served as the brigade CBRN officer, brigade chief of operations, and commander for Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, with operational deployments to Afghanistan.

Following company command, he completed a Master of Science in chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His thesis focused on astrochemistry, particularly the rotational spectra of small organic molecules.
