CPT Darian Abenes is an instructor in the Military History Division, Department of History & War Studies, at the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York.

She hails from Northern Virginia and was commissioned into the U.S. Army in 2016 through Augusta University, where she earned a B.S. in psychology. As an engineer officer, she served as a platoon leader and executive officer at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, and as a company commander at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

CPT Abenese holds an M.A. in history from Florida State University, where she is pursuing her Ph.D. 

She is joined at West Point by her husband, Joseph, and their two daughters, Naomi and Maize.
