CPT Darian Abenes is an instructor in the Military History Division, Department of History & War Studies, at the United States Military Academy.
She hails from Northern Virginia and commissioned into the U.S. Army in 2016 through Augusta University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in psychology. As an engineer officer, she served as a platoon leader and executive officer at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, and as a company commander at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
Abenes holds a master's in history from Florida State University, where she is pursuing her doctorate.
She is joined at West Point by her husband, Joseph, and their two daughters, Naomi and Maize.
