LTC(R) Derek Burt

LTC(R) Derek Burt graduated from the United States Military Academy (USMA) in 1996 with a B.S. in applied mathematics. He graduated from RPI in 2004 with an M.S. in applied mathematics. He was an Air Defense Artillery and FA49 officer before retiring as a lieutenant colonel in 2016.

LTC(R) Burt taught two tours in the USMA Department of Mathematical Sciences and has taught at the United States Military Academy Preperatory School since June 2016.
