MAJ Devon Compeau is an instructor in the Department of Systems Engineering (DSE) at the United States Military Academy (USMA).
The Detroit, Michigan, native is an engineer officer and joined DSE faculty in June 2023. He holds a bachelor's degree in systems engineering from USMA, a master's degree in engineering management from Missouri University of Science and Technology, and a master's in industrial and operations engineering from the University of Michigan.
Compeau served as a platoon leader and executive officer in the 15th Engineer Battalion in Grafenwoehr, Germany. While stationed in there, he completed NATO construction missions in Germany, Estonia, Poland, and the Republic of Georgia. After completing Engineer Captains Career Course at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, Compeau served as a battalion training officer in the 11th Engineer Battalion, Camp Humphreys, South Korea. MAJ Compeau then took command of the 814th Multi-Role Bridge Company from 2020-21.
He is a graduate of Sapper School, Airborne School, Air Assault School, and the Joint Engineer Operations Course.
Compeau is married to Emmy Compeau. They have three daughters, Jane, Lucy, and Grace.
