Dr. Emine C. Foust is an associate professor in the Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering and the Center of Applied Engineering at the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York.
She earned her Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in mechanical engineering from Lehigh University. In 2008, she worked as a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University.
Prior to joining USMA, Dr. Foust served as an associate professor at York College of Pennsylvania for 14 years. She has extensive teaching experience in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, dynamics, system modeling, and energy systems.
At York College, Dr. Foust supervised industry-driven and community-based student research projects. Examples include a ram pump museum display, a vertical axis river turbine self-start problem, the design of a cooling system for injection molding machines, and the installation of instrumentation on a test bench for a jet engine.
