LTC Eric Gutierrez, Ph.D.

LTC Eric Gutierrez is an assistant professor teaching biology in the Department of Chemical & Biological Science & Engineering at the United States Military Academy (USMA).

In 2009, he commissioned as an engineer officer through the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC). He has served in brigade combat teams, echelons above brigade units, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), with operational deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.

LTC Gutierrez earned an M.Ed. from Columbia University, where his research focused on soldier musculoskeletal injuries, and a Ph.D. from Purdue University, where he studied serum advanced glycation end products and their associations with tendon tissue.
