CPT Gabriel Hake

MAJ Gabriel Hake is an Engineer officer and instructor in the Department of Systems Engineering at the United States Military Academy (USMA) in West Point, New York.

MAJ Hake graduated with honors from USMA in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Research. He later earned a Master of Science degree in Operations Research with Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.

Following graduation, MAJ Hake attended the Engineer Basic Officer Leader Course at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He then served with the 4th Engineer Battalion at Fort Carson, Colorado, as an Assistant S3 before serving as a platoon leader in the 569th Mobility Augmentation Company and later as Executive Officer of the 576th Route Clearance Company.

After completing the Engineer Captains Career Course, MAJ Hake served as the Task Force Engineer for 3rd Battalion, 67th Armor Regiment from 2021 to 2023 at Fort Stewart, Georgia. He subsequently commanded Assassin Company, 9th Brigade Engineer Battalion, during a deployment to Europe in support of Operation European Assure, Deter, and Reinforce. During this assignment, he trained alongside NATO battlegroups and partner-nation forces across the region.

MAJ Hake is a graduate of Air Assault School and the Sapper Leader Course and has earned the Expert Soldier Badge.

He and his wife, Allison, have two children, Abby and Dean.
