CPT George “Brett” Pulvermacher is an instructor in the Department of Physical Education at the United States Military Academy.

A native of Benton, Wisconsin, Pulvermacher graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sport science. He earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the U.S. Army-Baylor Doctor of Physical Therapy Program in 2020.

Upon completing the physical therapy program, Pulvermacher served for one year as a staff physical therapist at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio. He then joined the Army’s first fielding of the Holistic Health and Fitness initiative with the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division. In this role, he served as deputy director of the program, supervised a 35-person team of human performance professionals, established a brigade-level human performance center and contributed to the development of Army policy supporting H2F. He was later competitively selected to serve as the battalion physical therapist for the 2nd Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne), providing physical therapy support to the battalion and its customers across the globe.

Pulvermacher is married to his wife, Emma, and together they stay busy raising their four children: Harper, Brady, Elias and Hadley.
