CPT Gregg Roder is an economics instructor in the Department of Social Sciences at the United States Military Academy (USMA) in West Point, New York.

He commissioned as an infantry officer through the University of Connecticut ROTC program in 2017, graduating with a bachelor's degree in economics. He served as a scout platoon leader and company executive officer in the 4th Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division, at Fort Drum, New York, deploying twice to Afghanistan in support of Operation Freedom's Sentinel. Following the Maneuver Captains Career Course, he commanded Lightning and Hammer Troops in the 2nd Cavalry Regiment in Vilseck, Germany, from 2022-24.

Upon selection to teach at USMA, Roder completed his M.B.A. at Carnegie Mellon University, concentrating in economics and finance. He is a candidate for Certified Financial Planner certification.

He and his wife, Anne, enjoy traveling and spending time outdoors.
