Dr. Greg Freisinger is an associate professor in the Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York. 

He is a 2006 graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he majored in mechanical engineering and was an Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) cadet. He commissioned as an engineer officer and was assigned to the 84th Engineer Battalion at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. He deployed to Thailand on a humanitarian construction mission as a platoon leader and later to Iraq as executive officer of the Forward Support Company.

Dr. Freisinger left active duty in 2010 and enrolled at Ohio State University, earning a Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in mechanical engineering with a focus on orthopedic biomechanics.

He has taught dynamics, vibrations engineering, and biomechanical engineering, while advising a variety of capstone and independent study projects. He is also assigned to Keller Army Community Hospital as a U.S. Army reservist with the Division I Sports Physical Therapy Fellowship.

Dr. Freisinger is a Class of 2014 Tillman Scholar and a graduate of Ranger School and the Sapper Leader Course.
