Prof. Greta Bucher, Ph.D.

History & War Studies
Professor Greta Bucher joined the United States Military Academy's Department of History, now the Department of History & War Studies, in 1995. She is a professor of history and teaches Russian history and European history.
She holds a bachelor's degree from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, and a master's degree and doctorate from Ohio State University.
Bucher has published two books, "Women, the Bureaucracy and Daily Life in Postwar Moscow, 1945-1953," and "Daily Life in Imperial Russia," as well as articles in outlets like The Russian Review.
She has served as president of the New York Association of European Historians and on the editorial board of the journal Teaching History.
