CPT Hayden Conrad is an instructor in the Department of Physical Education at the United States Military Academy (USMA).
The Flagstaff, Arizona, native graduated from USMA in 2015 with a degree in kinesiology. After commissioning as an aviation officer, Conrad graduated from the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence with a rating in the UH-60 Blackhawk in March 2017.
Following flight school, he served as a platoon leader and executive officer in the 16th Combat Aviation Brigade at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. Conrad led his soldiers through several diverse missions, including rotations to Australia, National Training Center, Orchard Training Center, and Yakima Training Center.
Upon completion of the Aviation Captains Career Course in 2020, he served as an assistant operations officer in 1-52 AVN REGT, Fort Wainwright, Alaska. Conrad was responsible for planning aviation operations in support of the 7th and 11th Infantry Divisions. In 2021, he assumed command of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1-52 AVN REGT. As Wolverine 6, Conrad led a company of 100 soldiers in a unique and challenging arctic environment, including two successful rotations in the Joint Pacific Multinational Readiness Center.
Following command, Conrad graduated from Texas A&M University with a master's degree in kinesiology. He and wife Samantha have two boys, Beckham and Owen.
