LTC James Pleuss is an assistant professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at West Point. He is the associate program director for Applied Statistics and Data Science and is also affiliated with the Center for Data Analysis & Statistics.

He hails from Appleton, Wisconsin, and is an unabashed fan of Wisconsin sports. For example, his son’s middle name is Lambeau.

LTC Pleuss graduated from the United States Military Academy in 2007 with a degree in computer science and joined the Signal Corps. He enjoys teaching cadets, cheering too loudly at his kids’ sporting events, and conducting research in human performance and nutrition as well as sports analytics.

He lives in Cornwall with his wife, four kids, mother-in-law, and far too many animals.
